The balance in stats for a pvp healer has to lean toward intellect. You are going to be the HoT master of the battleground and as such you need to make sure you can keep those spells going. However, you also don’t want to only focus on intellect as you will be too squishy. The “Elune’s HoT Build” has a lot of similarities with a healing priest build as it uses several cloth pieces to maximize your stats.
The gear in this build is primarily stat heavy while the enchants are primarily +healing. This mix of gear stats and healing enchants provides a great balance to achieve optimal high healing HoT’s while maintaining a high mana pool to ensure you will be a consistent high impact healer. |
Tier 0:
Gear that is easily accessible (usually exclusively AH) but not optimal. This gear should be used if you cannot get access to Tier 1 twink gear for whatever reason. Tier 1: Gear that can be obtained from the AH (at a reasonable price), through dungeon runs or through high level quests. Much of Tier 1 is viable long-term. Tier 2: Gear that can be obtained from the AH but is usually extremely expensive. Tree Bark Jacket, Twisted Chanter’s Staff and Shadowfang are a few items that fit into this category. It’s recommended to grab these types of items whenever someone puts them on the AH at a low cost. Tier 3: Gear that can be obtained but is usually part of an extensive grind or has to be competed for. |
